We load up and head out to Hamilton County regularly; Walden is about 44 minutes from our family's shop. Kids challenge each other, then the grown-ups want a turn, and suddenly everyone is keeping score.
On the mountain, a flat stretch of lawn or a school field makes the best race lane.
Longer courses mean longer races; shorter ones fit smaller spaces.
